Wheel Brands We Carry: American Racing & More

WheelsPublished March 3, 20253 min read

We carry seven wheel brand lines: American Racing, Forte, Vagare, Diablo, Gianna, MHT and Wheel Pros. Between them they cover everything from classic muscle-car style to modern luxury and truck looks. The right wheels pull a vehicle's whole look together, and one of these almost certainly makes the wheel you're picturing. Here's a quick rundown of each.

American Racing

If you know one aftermarket wheel name, it's probably this one. American Racing has been building wheels since the 1950s and helped define the classic hot-rod and muscle-car look. The catalog runs well past nostalgia, though, with plenty of modern truck and SUV styles too. A solid choice if you want a wheel with real heritage behind it.

Forte

Forte leans modern: clean spoke designs and gloss-black and machined finishes that give a daily driver a custom look without shouting about it. It's a good place to start if you want something noticeably sharper than your factory wheels but still on the subtle side.

Vagare

Vagare is a luxury line: larger diameters, sculpted spokes and bright finishes made to dress up sedans, crossovers and SUVs. If the goal is a polished, upscale street look, start here.

Diablo

Diablo builds statement wheels: big diameters, bold designs and plenty of shine. These are for drivers who want the wheels noticed first. Not subtle, and not trying to be.

Gianna

Gianna works the same luxury-custom territory, with intricate spoke designs and mirror finishes on big-diameter wheels. Between Vagare, Diablo and Gianna there's a lot of range within that lane, so it's worth looking at them side by side before you decide.

MHT

MHT is one of the bigger wheel design houses in the aftermarket, with a range that runs from luxury street wheels to aggressive truck and off-road fitments. If you drive a pickup or SUV and want a heavier-duty custom look, MHT's catalog is deep.

Wheel Pros

Wheel Pros is less a single style than a family of brands, one of the largest wheel distributors in North America. In practice, that means if you've spotted a wheel you like somewhere, there's a good chance we can get it through the Wheel Pros network even if it isn't sitting on our showroom floor. Ask, and we'll look it up.

Fitment still comes first

Whatever brand catches your eye, the set has to fit. Diameter, width, offset and bolt pattern all need to match your vehicle, or you'll pay for it in rubbing, sloppy handling and uneven tire wear. We check all of it before anything gets mounted, and if you want to understand what those numbers mean, our aftermarket wheel fitment guide walks through the basics.

Tire-and-wheel packages

If you're shopping for wheels, it's worth looking at tires at the same time. A tire-and-wheel package gets you a complete set: wheels and tires matched to your vehicle, then mounted and balanced together. It's usually the best value on a full setup. You'll find the details on our wheels page, or just ask when you stop in.

Our shop is in St. Joseph, an easy drive from anywhere in the St. Cloud area. Come look through the catalogs in person, or call (320) 363-7246 and tell us what you drive and the look you're after, and we'll narrow it down fast. You can also request a time online and we'll have options ready when you arrive.

Common questions

Often, yes, if the new wheels are the same diameter and width as your old ones. Going up in wheel size means new tires with a shorter sidewall to keep the overall size right for your vehicle. We'll confirm what works before anything is mounted.

Usually. A larger wheel means a shorter tire sidewall, which firms up the ride and passes more of the road, including Minnesota potholes, into the cabin. It's a trade-off worth weighing before you size up.

They can, but many drivers do the opposite: mount winter tires on a second, less expensive set of wheels and save the custom set for the rest of the year, keeping it out of the salt. We can set up either approach.
